Two football players at a university were wounded by gunshots outside a bar early on Sunday.
Western Kentucky University players Tevin Holliman and Ricardo Singh were each hit once outside the Lava Lounge in Bowling Green, Kentucky, according to a statement from the school's athletic department.
Mr Holliman, a defensive lineman, and Ricardo Singh, a defensive back, were struck hours after the football team played its annual spring game.
The players were recovering from non-life-threatening wounds they received.
Bowling Green Police spokesman Ronnie Ward said it appears someone shot into a crowd outside the bar and struck the players.
