A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after throwing his girlfriend's four-year-old daughter down the stairs in a violent rampage, according to police.Travis Gauldin called 911 on Thursday night claiming Malisa De La Sancha had fallen down the stairs at her Piqua, Ohio home on his watch.
The little girl suffered severe head injuries and died in hospital two days later.
Local NBC affiliate WDTN reports Malisa succumbed to her injuries at Dayton Children's Medical Center on Saturday.
Police told the network her injuries did not match up to Gauldin's story and believe Malisa was the victim of child abuse.
