American intelligence officials are reportedly hoping to intensify drone strikes in Yemen - even if the CIA doesn't know who is being eyed in the attack.
The Washington Post reported that 'signature strikes' would give the U.S. government a licence to kill based on behaviour that may raise an alarm.
Such concerns could be anything from an exchange of weapons or a gathering in a known Al-Qaeda locations.
Yemen has emerged as a hotbed of Al-Qaeda activity in the last few years.
It was the home of American-born radical cleric and Al-Qaeda operative Anwar al-Awlaki at the time of his death in a U.S.-led drone strike. Read More
