Shanise Paris-Goff fell from a window of her 17th-foor apartment just after two officers called to arrest her for a breach of parole

The teenager who plunged to her death from her tower block flat when plain-clothes police came looking for her has been named locally as Shanise Paris-Goff.

Ms Paris-Goff, 18, fell from a window of her 17th-foor apartment just after two officers called to arrest her for a breach of parole.

Police said she was alone in a bedroom at the time she fell from the block in Woolwich, southeast London, and her death has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Ms Paris-Goff was the subject of a police appeal for information last summer, when it was reported she had failed to register with a probation officer after her release from a young offenders' institution.

She had been freed after serving a year of a three-year sentence for robbery and assault and was expected to be monitored by the probation service as one of her early release conditions.

Scotland Yard was expecting to release the result of a post-mortem examination, but had not confirmed her identity.

It is understood Ms Paris-Goff was also known as Shanice Goff and Sherise Steabler. Read More
