Ohio, Cracker Barrel Shooting leaves 3 Dead

Three people were left dead and a child injured in a restaurant after a man reportedly turned his gun on his wife after she said she was leaving him.

The woman and a girl were killed inside the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Brooklyn, Ohio on Thursday night.

The suspected gunman was fatally shot by the police after he ignored officers' demands to drop his weapon as he tried to exit the restaurant.

Police Chief Scott Mielke told ABC 5 that a woman at the restaurant called 911 at 8.40pm saying that she felt threatened by her husband after telling him that she was leaving him.

He left the restaurant and then began circling the parking lot in his car, she said.

Police arrived, heard gunshots, and saw customers fleeing from the store.

A man exited the restaurant with a 'long gun', Mielke said. Officers ordered him to drop his weapon, then fatally shot him when he failed to surrender. Read More
