West Yorkshire police have launched a murder investigation after the death of a seven-week-old baby girl.The police said that the baby had died at about 3am this morning from her injuries in Pinderfields Hospital.
Officers were called to the hospital after the girl was brought in from an address on Ashleigh Avenue, Pontefract, by ambulance with serious injuries.
An 18-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
