A new psychiatric examination has found that Anders Behring Breivik, who killed 77 people in Norway last year, is not criminally insane.The report's conclusion conflicts with an earlier assessment which decided Breivik was psychotic and would have to go into a mental institution if convicted.
Its release comes just six days before the 33-year-old is to go on trial on terror charges for the bomb and shooting rampage on July 22.
Breivik has already confessed to the attacks but denies criminal guilt. He claims the attacks were necessary in what he calls a civil war against Islam in Europe.
