The Doobie Brothers ( with ZZ TOP) @ Paris Bercy Oct 16 2010

The Doobie Brothers @ Paris Bercy Oct 16 2010
with ZZ TOP headlining
ZZ TOP are back in Paris this time with The Doobie Brothers supporting.
Two years ago ZZ TOP played the Zénith (Capacity 6500), this time it's Bercy (Capacity 16500) and even with this double bill Bercy is half empty, less than 7000 people.
After Ozzy who played in an even more empty Bercy a few weeks ago, after Steve Miller at the Zénith who played in front of less than 2000 people a couple of days ago. Maybe promoters ( Live Nation and Drouot) will change their high price policy, people are fed up paying 100 euros for a gig.
Maybe it will teach them a lesson, next one is Robert Plant @ Palais des Sports next week which is far from being full.

As you can see lots of musicians on stage , two drummers including one guy who , I think played with Lynyrd Skynyrd.
There's a funny guy with a silly moustache (Tom Johnston) on vocals & guitar and a guy on keyboards who looks like Rob Halford.
Anyway, 1 hour set of American music, the kind of you're listening in your car when you're driving for hours on the highways, needless to tell that it's very soft for your ears even though there were some nice guitar parts.

John Mc Fee (far left)

All the backing vocals ( maybe i'm seeing evil everywhere) seemed highly suspicious.

Nice set & good starter before ZZ TOP
Good Bye Paris !
