Taha Muhammad the Second hate cleric who is allowed to stay - and he's so dangerous he was banned from AS-level chemistry

An Iraqi Muslim cleric suspected of being involved with Al Qaeda and radicalising young Britons has used the Human Rights Act to continue to live in the UK – despite Government efforts to deport him.

Taha Muhammad is regarded as one of Britain’s most dangerous security threats. He was even banned from studying AS-level chemistry because of fears he would use the knowledge to commit terrorist acts.

The decision to let him stay is another setback for Home Secretary Theresa May, already under pressure after attempts to deport Abu Qatada to Jordan descended into chaos.

The Government is so concerned about Muhammad, 35, that for several years he was placed under round-the-clock surveillance, given a curfew and banned from preaching.

But Muhammad says he cannot be deported to Iraq because he could be detained and tortured there.

He argues sending him back would be a breach of Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Judges at an immigration tribunal allowed him to stay even though the Home Office said they believed he:
  • Had links to several terrorist groups including Al Qaeda.
  • ‘Took part in both terrorist training and activities’ and had ‘considerable jihadi pedigree’.
  • Maintained contacts with Islamist extremists in Britain and abroad.
  • Provided support for the jihadist insurgency in Iraq.
  • Expressed extremist views. Read More

European court 'tipped off Abu Qatada over deadline to help him make last-ditch appeal to stay'.....No Wonder he was Smiling during his arrest

European human rights judges have been accused of ‘alerting’ radical Muslim cleric Abu Qatada to the fact he still had time to lodge a last-ditch appeal against deportation.

Furious Home Office sources last night claimed that it was the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) itself that privately told Jordanian-born Qatada that there was still the possibility of an appeal

But they say there was no similar attempt by the Strasbourg-based court to warn Home Secretary Theresa May of the impending deadline.

Senior sources in Mrs May’s department told The Mail on Sunday that the ECHR had reminded Qatada last Monday that he still had the option to appeal.

One said: ‘They took it upon themselves to go to Qatada’s legal team and say, “You haven’t appealed yet. Are you likely to appeal?” ’

Last night, the ECHR, headed by British judge Sir Nicolas Bratza, declined to comment on the claim. Read More

Kim Conover Killed by husband was DENIED a restraining order against him less than a week before murder suicide

An elementary school teacher and mother-of-four who was shot and killed by her estranged husband who then turned the gun on himself had been denied an emergency restraining order against him less than a week before.

Kim Conover, 43, who taught at a Petaluma elementary school in San Francisco, was shot by Kevin Conover, 41, outside her divorce lawyer's office on Sunday around 2pm.

Police had been called out to the couple five times over the past year to investigate complaints of domestic abuse and in one case, an allegation that Conover pushed one of his step-daughters, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The couple had only been married two years but were former high school classmates. They had 21-month-old twins together.

Kim Conover had requested an emergency protective order six days before she was killed, alleging that her husband had grabbed her earlier that day, Lt Tim Lyons said.

An officer interviewed Kevin Conover, who denied any wrongdoing, police said. But the officer felt he was a threat to Kim Conover and requested an emergency stay-away order from a judge at Marcoida of Sonoma County Superior Court.

The judge denied it after finding no evidence that Kim Conover was in immediate danger, authorities said. Read More

Texas cockfight turns into a gunfight, killing 3 and leaving 8 Injured

Three people were killed and eight injured when masked gunmen opened fire during an illegal cockfight on a Texas ranch.

The attack, described by authorities as a bloody massacre, sent spectators fleeing from makeshift bleachers surrounding the fighting ring near Edcouch, near Mexico.

Police were searching for the attackers and for clues as to their possible motives, Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino said.

Homer Jasso, the justice of the peace for that area of the county, said the scene was shocking in its gore.

'It was a massacre,' Jasso said. 'I haven't seen this kind of violence in the valley here on my watch. This is the first time in my life I've seen something this bad.'

Authorities were withholding the names of the victims until after they had notified the men's families, but they said two of them, aged 49 and 53, were brothers. The other man was 42 years old. Read More

Paul Trotter Pleads Guilty to carrying out sex attacks on 13 boys while working as children’s supervisor on luxury Cunard liners

A cruise ship worker who filmed himself abusing children left in his care aboard luxury Cunard liners has admitted attacks on 13 youngsters.

Paul Trotter, 34, pleaded guilty to a string of sexual assaults and taking, making and possessing indecent images of children, most of whom were under the age of 13 at the time.

The supervisor, who worked in the play zones, made films of himself abusing the children on three cruise ships, including Queen Mary 2 and its sister vessel Queen Elizabeth.

He also possessed other indecent images of children he had obtained online.

In a statement Cunard, part of the Carnival Corporation group and owners of the Costa Concordia which ran aground earlier this year, said it was 'deeply shocked' by Trotter's 'appalling crimes'.

It added he had avoided detection despite a number of safeguards, including having had his criminal record checked. Read More

Abdikarim Abbas Abdisamad a Illegal immigrant raped young woman three years after judge ordered him to be deported

The Home Office came under fire yesterday when it emerged an illegal immigrant brutally raped a young woman - three years after a judge ordered him to be deported.

Abdikarim Abbas Abdisamad, 33, originally from Somalia, befriended a 24-year-old woman in a nightclub claiming he had just lost his job and was penniless.

The victim took pity on Abdisamad and invited him to her home where he raped her twice and battered her so severely she suffered 17 separate injuries.

He was jailed for ten years after being convicted of rape at Coventry Crown Court on Monday.

But during the hearing, it emerged Abdisamad was already a convicted criminal and a judge had ordered his deportation in 2009 when he was jailed for six months for grievous bodily harm.

But he was allowed to remain in Britain because of his immigration status and civil war in his home country of Somalia.

Now bungling Home Office officials are working to finally deport him. Read More

Deport Qatada and we'll bomb UK, warn militants: Fanatics in Somalia send a chilling warning to the Government

An Islamist terror group has threatened to launch a wave of attacks against Britain if Abu Qatada is deported.

Al-Shabab militants, who are based in Somalia, say they will plunge Britain into ‘disaster’.

Last week Al Qaeda warned it would open ‘the gates of evil’ if the hate cleric was sent back to Jordan for trial.

On an internet forum used by militants, Al-Shabab said: ‘The British public is forewarned that it will be the British government, as a result of its imprudence, that shall be liable for any disaster that befalls them, or their national interests.’

The message was discovered by the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors online activity from terrorist groups. Read More

A teenage gang who hacked a boy of 15 to death in front of horrified commuters received sentences totalling more than 100 years yesterday.

Sofyen Belamouadden was punched, kicked and stabbed in a murder planned on Facebook following a feud between his school and a sixth-form college.

A pack of up to 20 students aged between 15 and 18 went to Victoria underground station in London armed with a set of kitchen knives bought for £3.99 from Argos, a Samurai sword, flick knives, metal bars and extendable batons which were used to batter the GCSE pupil with 'indescribable aggression'.

Muslim gang jailed for kidnapping and raping two girls as part of their Eid celebrations

A group of Muslim men who abducted and raped two teenage girls as part of their Eid celebrations laughed in court yesterday as they were jailed for a total of 38 years.

The girls, aged 15 and 16, were lured miles from their home to a dingy hostel.

In a horrifying weekend-long ordeal, they were plied with alcohol and repeatedly raped by two men, Shamrez Rashid and Amar Hussain, before being offered to a number of others who also ‘used them for sex’.

The 16-year old was forced to have sex six times with four different men.
The younger victim was raped by one man and then sexually assaulted by another.

One defendant, Rashid, 20, was said to have claimed the girls had enjoyed the sex, which he said had taken place as they celebrated the Muslim festival of Eid.

‘It was Eid,’ he said. ‘We treated them as our guests. OK, so they gave us [sex] but we were buying them food and drink. Read More

Abu Qatada: Government will try to block bail.....Which means he will probably be back on the Streets by next week

The government will resist any application for bail by radical cleric Abu Qatada, Downing Street has said.

"If he applies for bail, we will oppose it vigorously," a spokeswoman said.

Home Secretary Theresa May insisted on Thursday that Abu Qatada's deportation case had "no right" to be referred to the European Court of Human Rights.

Abu Qatada, a Palestinian-Jordanian preacher, is wanted in Jordan on bomb plotting charges but the ECHR is yet to decide whether to hear the case.

Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper said: "The idea that Abu Qatada could be back on the streets of London within weeks, if not days, as a result of the Home Secretary's decision is shocking. Read More

Breivik details systematic massacre

Oslo, Norway (CNN) -- Anders Behring Breivik, who admits killing 77 people in Norway last summer, gave chilling details at his trial Friday of the gun rampage in which he systematically shot dead scores of young people.

Without apparent emotion, he recounted firing more bullets into teenagers who were injured and so couldn't escape, killing those who tried to "play dead" and driving others into the sea to drown.

Some survivors and relatives of victims in the courtroom wept as they listened to his detailed account of the attack on a youth camp on Utoya Island in which 69 people died.

Breivik is on trial on charges of voluntary homicide and committing acts of terror in the July 22 attacks. He admits carrying out the Utoya attack and a bombing in Oslo that killed eight people.

He boasts of being an ultranationalist who killed his victims to fight multiculturalism in Norway. Read More

Carnival Cruise Lines cruise ship reportedly left fishermen to die at sea

Carnival Cruise Lines is scrambling to avert another public relations nightmare in the wake of reports that one of its luxury ships ignored a distressed fishing boat and left two of the occupants to die at sea.

The Panamanian fishing vessel was adrift in the Gulf of Panama with three men aboard when, according to one of them, a large vessel passed but ignored signals for help.

"Instead of helping us, they left us," said fisherman Adrian Vazquez, whose boat had been drifting for two weeks at that point after losing engine power.

One of Vazquez's fellow fishermen died of dehydration that night. The other died five days later, on March 15.

Vazquez survived; he was rescued March 24 by an Ecuadorian vessel, having spent a month stranded at sea. more

Breivik: I So Didn't Want To Kill Them

Mass killer Anders Behring Breivik has begun telling a hushed court about his inner turmoil before the massacre on Utoya island in Norway.

The 33-year-old asked families of victims and survivors to leave the room before he started describing the atrocities he committed on the island that left 69 people dead.

Breivik calmly described the events chronologically, saying on the ferry trip over to the island he was scared of what he was about to do.

After years of plotting the attacks he said his whole body was resisting putting his plan into action.

"I so didn't want to do this," he said to prosecutors in court.

"I thought about it for one minute. My whole body resisted. It felt like a year. 100 voices in my head were saying 'Stop'."

He described the "now or never" moment before taking out his pistol and starting to shoot.

The killer, who was dressed in a fake police uniform, said he shot an off-duty guard first when he was challenged about his identity.

Speaking calmly, Breivik told the court about the carnage that ensued.

He described how he went around the island using his rifle and pistol to shoot the terrified teenagers in the head.

Near the clearing on the island where the youngsters had pitched their tents he shouted "You are all going to die, Marxists." Read More

Las Vegas Murderer who raped 10-year-old girl before killing her and her mother in 'horrific crime scene' on the loose

Shocking details of rape and brutality have emerged from a Las Vegas house of horrors where the bodies of a woman and her young daughter were found.

Police are continuing to collect evidence from the home after a 9-year-old boy reportedly came to his school on Monday and told teachers that his mother and older sister had been killed by his dad.

At the boy's home less than a mile away, they found the blood-spattered bodies of 38-year-old Ignacia Martinez and his 10-year-old sister Karla Martinez.

However, police have now rejected the boy's claim that his father was behind the killings.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Deputy Chief Jim Owens labelled original reports of the father's involvement as inaccurate, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal: 'I wouldn't print that'.

Police said during a press conference yesterday that young Karla was raped before she and her mother were savagely beaten to death.

Ignacia Martinez's 4-year-old son was also found in the home, but was not harmed.

The father, Arturo Martinez, who works as an electrician and boxing trainer in the area, was also found severely beaten - but alive.

He is currently fighting for his life at a nearby hospital.

Authorities believe the boy was in a state of shock when he arrived at Mabel Hoggard Elementary School near Washington Avenue in Las Vegas shortly before 9am. Read More
